You know with all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, we often forget what the season is truly about. It is about giving, as God showed us by example, giving us His Son. It should be an example for us to follow.
I recently got an email from my father in law saying that he was in line at the grocery store the other day, and his credit card would not work and that a lady in line behind him came up and paid cash for his groceries. In his email he stated that he could not believe it and what a blessing it was for someone to actually do such an act of kindness.
Recently my daughter had an American Girl doll that she was selling on ebay, it was worth about $140.00. A lady emailed her directly and asked if she would sell it to her directly at a reduced price. Her daughter was in the hospital with cancer and she wanted to give it to her for Christmas, but did not have all the money for it. To make a long story short, she gave her the doll. It was more than I could contain, a 14 year old giving away her prized possessions. Every time I think about it, it brings joy to my heart. As they say it truly is more blessed to give than receive.
This Christmas take an opportunity to look for someone that you too can be a blessing to. Better yet let us all beaware of ways all year long that we can be a blessing to others. I wish you a very Merry Christ...mas
A Home For The Holidays
Not just "home for the holidays" as the song says, but buying a home for the holidays, or maybe I should say around the holidays. With all the hustle and bustle during the holidays, you may say I don't think it is such a good time. But I would like to explain why it is a great time to buy.
In the 25 years of selling homes, I have found that the real estate market is very seasonal. The most active season for home buyers and sellers is spring and summer The best times to buy a home I have found is around November, December and January, because the real estate market usually slows up quite a bit during that time. Most people are not thinking about buying a home around then. It is usually a lot less competition, especially on homes that are priced under market. Once the spring hits, it is generally a whole different market. Many builders offer incredible promotions during this time and many sellers are much more likely to reduce their prices at this time.
So I would encourage you, if you are considering buying a home, to take a look now and not wait. Let us put you on our Auto Notification System, that will alert you when a new home comes on the market. Please visit us at www.FTXR.com for a lot of good home buying and selling information.
