A Home For The Holidays?

         A Home For The Holidays

Not just "home for the holidays" as the song says, but buying a home for the holidays, or maybe I should say around the holidays. With all the hustle and bustle during the holidays, you may say I don't think it is such a good time. But I would like to explain why it is a great time to buy.

In the 25 years of selling homes, I have found that the real estate market is very seasonal. The most active season for home buyers and sellers is spring and summer  The best times to buy a home I have found is around November, December and January, because the real estate market usually slows up quite a bit during that time. Most people are not thinking about buying a home around then. It is usually a lot less competition, especially on homes that are priced under market. Once the spring hits, it is generally a whole different market. Many builders offer incredible promotions during this time and many sellers are much more likely to reduce their prices at this time.

So I would encourage you, if you are considering buying a home, to take a look now and not wait. Let us put you on our Auto Notification System, that will alert you when a new home comes on the market. Please visit us at www.FTXR.com for a lot of good home buying and selling information.
